Manager – Client Relations

Role: Business Development, Sales & Marketing Event Management.


Purpose: Drive revenue growth by selling convention center and exhibition spaces. Build strong client relationships, develop effective sales strategies, and provide exceptional customer service to maximize sales and exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
    • Lead Generation: Identify and generate new leads through online and offline channels, including social media, networking events, industry databases, and direct outreach.
    • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients, their needs, and industry trends.
    • Client Engagement: Travel to meet organizers of events, corporates, and other potential clients. Invite them for site tours and presentations, engaging them effectively through excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Sales Pitch: Present the convention center's features and benefits in a compelling manner, highlighting its unique selling points.
    • Contract Negotiation: Close sales deals by negotiating terms and conditions, securing contracts, and tracking payment collections to ensure timely payments.
  • Sales & Marketing:
    • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    • Sales Collateral: Create and maintain sales collateral, such as presentations, brochures, and proposals.
    • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry events and conferences to network, promote the convention center, and stay updated on industry trends.
    • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales efforts.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning and execution process.
    • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
    • Event Facilitation: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution, coordinating logistics, vendor management, and providing support to clients as needed.
    • Relationship Building: Foster long-term partnerships with clients by building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Event Management:
    • Operational Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution, including venue setup, equipment rentals, and vendor management.
    • Event Oversight: Oversee event operations, providing support to clients and addressing any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the events or hospitality industry.
  • Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexibility to work varying hours and travel as needed, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

  • Event planning and coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
